God gave us vision to enjoy the Kingdom that He has created for us, but do we abuse the power that He blessed us with. I cry out all the time, to have eyes like Him, to see His Kingdom like He sees it, but do I really want that.
the word "sight" is mentioned 333 times in the KJV version of the bible. the first time in Genesis 2:9 when God created the world and made the trees and everything around them good for sight, to the last time in Revelation 13 where miracles were performed in the sight of the beast. obviously, God is trying to get some point across to us that we are to see His world and be PROACTIVE within it.
throughout the Bible things are brought out into our sight and God's sight. something to be SEEN and proven. there are many times where things aren't believed until they are seen. things aren't known and understood until they were brought out and the attention was brought to it. everything is seen in God's eyes, He is omnipotent, omnipresent, all seeing, but yet we don't choose to see His people.
can I change the way that I see people? His children? His Kingdom? BUT not just see, but understand and have my heart cry for His world like He does? the only way this is done is to actively seek Him, to seek after His heart, to pursue His face in order to be in perfect will with Him. this life is not about just seeing what is going on, but to act upon it. I don't want to be the girl who has no story for the Kingdom but SAW a need, UNDERSTOOD God's heart, and CHANGED a life.
that's what I want my eyes to be used for.
